4x4 Servicing
Safety is our priority!
They understand the importance of correct servicing and preparation so that your four wheel drive will take you wherever you want to go and get you back home in one piece. What’s more our four wheel drive specialists are not only qualified light vehicle mechanics, but also fully qualified light diesel technicians and auto electricians.
Mechanical Repairs
Our business is a true one stop repair centre. From replacing a fan belt to performing a complete engine overhaul, we do it all in our workshop. Manual gearbox rebuilds and automatic transmission repairs, all are taken care of in house, by us. Because we know we do the job right, all our mechanical repairs are covered by a full 12 month/ 20,000km warranty – four times the industry standard.
Engine Reconditioning
Most mechanical repair shops choose to fit reconditioned engines built by a third party company, we prefer to recondition your engine in our purpose built reconditioning facility. By doing so we ensure the highest quality parts are fitted and that no corners are cut in the critical assembly process. This gives our technician total control of the finished product and guarantees your reconditioned engine will be fit for purpose and provide a long service life.
DSG Transmission Repairs
Volkswagen DSG repairs and Audi S-Tronic repairs are one of our specialties. Clutch pack replacement in these DSG transmissions requires special tooling and special know how, all of which we have in house. Mechatronic repairs are also performed in house.
Differential Repairs
Looking for somebody to attend to that strange noise from you differential? Or perhaps you have been victim of a major differential failure as pictured below. These pictures are of a GTS Commodore that had a major differential failure (note the smashed diff housing) This failure occurred after some significant engine performance works (it seems the differential could not handle the power increase) Second photo is of an upgraded Harrop differential unit being assembled and more than capable of working with the power increase from the engine. Diesel Repairs and Diagnosis
Diesel engines are common place in many passenger cars as well as four wheel drives. Our technicians have attended the critical training required to be confident and capable in all kinds of diesel repair jobs. Having the right diagnostic equipment is essential, so our workshop is fully equipped and ready when you need us to tend to your diesel repair needs.
Four Wheel Drive Repairs
Four wheel drive servicing and repairs is a big part of our daily activity at Andrews High Tech. Heavy duty clutches, suspension upgrades, gearbox overhauls, engine overhauls for both petrol and diesel models. Nissan Navara YD25 timing chain upgrades are one of our common repairs.
Wheel Alignments and Tyres
In keeping with our tradition of being your one stop vehicle service centre, we stock a wide range of tyres for your convenience. The result is less running around for you as we, if we find your vehicle in need of new tyres when performing a service or repair, consider it done and one less thing you need to worry about. On hand is also a four wheel computer alignment machine to ensure you get the maximum life out of your tyres. Quite often overlooked, a correct wheel alignment along with correct tyre pressures can have a big impact on fuel consumption.
